2019 Indian FTR 1200 S Motorcycle Review
We have consistently identified the "Indian" motorcycle brand because of its design that Masculine and chrome-plated, these are very satisfying motorcycles. But this time, Indian has decided to turn its attention to creating a new range of motorcycles with a commitment to be sporty and fun. The first step in this new direction is the Indian FTR 1200. It is a bike that is remarkably unique from any other model Indian has ever produced. Once you look at it, you will realize that this is a motorcycle for the perfectionists. It is one of the most anticipated American motorcycles in decades. The FTR 1200 S has been captivating and imagining since it was first announced in the summer of 2018. Captivating from its flat-track beginnings, the 1200 S is a performance machine that embraces the spirit of the old-school enthusiast while incorporating a wealth of modern technological innovations.
For years, Americans have been clamoring for an exceptional domestic motorcycle that can perform, that can excel, and that can win. A motorcycle that can connect any young rider with a rebellious spirit; a type of American motorcycle that hasn’t been seen on sale in decades; A motorcycle that’s as adventurous as it is fun to ride. So when Indian announced the FTR 1200, I put on my blogger hat and set off on a deeper dive. The image of an American motorcycle didn’t always conjure up a young man in leather sitting atop a motorcycle. Traditionally, young riders have always wanted to grab the handlebars, stomp on the throttle and head out onto flat trails. This is exactly where the idea of the FTR 1200 came from.
Here is this model from Indian that took a lot of inspiration from its previous flat track models. The truth is that a race machine would be miserable to ride on the streets, but what you have instead is a stylish motorcycle designed to be used in a variety of different riding conditions. So we learn that it’s not a sportbike, it’s not a cross-country tourer, and it’s definitely not an off-road dirt bike. It’s a combination of all of those things combined into one uniquely designed motorcycle.
It has a lot of functions. For example, you can use it for daily commuting, and you can use it to escape the chaos of the city and go to the countryside. However, what you probably won’t like is the off-roading. You can really feel that the FTR 1200 has a very heavy street base, and you can enjoy riding on some solid off-road, but anything more aggressive than that, and you should probably look at a dual-sport or larger adventure bike. What surprises most of us is that this amazing bike can go long distances thanks to its electronic cruise control that can maintain highway speeds all day long, and it has a comfortable ergonomics, and all you really need is to add a windshield and some luggage to the back of it. So, to all the bikers and the biker community, good luck with your choice; the amazing “Indian FTR 1200 S”.
